Happy Halloween Eve

Good evening friends and family. We had a wonderful evening tonight. We have had a great week!! We have been to the grocery store, Bible study, out to eat at Zwanzigz, and tonight we went to a pumpkin patch to get Lincoln a pumpkin to carve. Many of you may be thinking--the night before is late to be carving a pumpkin-well we would have to disagree.

We had a great time this evening. We got home, played, had dinner, Lincoln took a nap, and then, wait for it--------we carved out a pumpkin.

Talk to you all in the next couple of days with pics from Halloween.

9 Months Already

WHAT A HAPPY BOY (TAKEN THIS MORNING AT 7:30)

Well, I am trying to do a better job at updating Lincoln's blog, so here is another.

It has been a great week, a lot better than last week when Brock was sick. Monday night Lincoln and I went to the grocery store together. He was great, I will tell you though, it is a lot different going to the store without Brock. Brock always does a wonderful, marvelous job of entertaining Lincoln when we grocery shop (or do any other type of shopping). He is awesome!!!

Lincoln enjoyed time playing with his friends at small group this week, he had a couple of weeks when we first started sending him upstairs with the other kids (so we could have our study) that he didn't want to stay. But the past couple of weeks he seems to have really enjoyed himself. :)

Lincoln love to pull up on Everything! He is in his first Halloween outfit.

Grandpa and Grams came to visit one night this week, and we had pancakes, bacon, and eggs for dinner. Lincoln relished in some pancake eating for the first time. He really seemed to like them.

We went shopping for Christmas one night-- and on Friday we went to see a new baby. Our friends Kevin and Sarah Cherry had their baby on Thursday. So we went to visit them at the hospital. Lincoln did well, it really didn't seem to phase him, of course there were other friends visiting, so Lincoln was preoccupied.

We also enjoyed dinner out with Uncle Brett and Aunt Mooch at Red Lobster. It was a blast, a great visit. Last weekend we spent time with them as well, a wiener roast at Grandad's. And Uncle Brett bought Lincoln a pumpkin to carve. So he cleaned out and carved his first pumpkin, he did a great job!

We hope you all had a great week!!!

Big Boy!!!

Our baby is getting so big. He is such a little man sometimes. He is talking up a storm, making fun little noises. He scrunches his little nose and says Da da with a raspy little voice. It is the funniest thing to listen to, Brock and I just laugh.

Last night was Lincoln's last swim lesson for this season. He absolutely loved every week. Last night and the first night were probably two of the best. Last night he played with another little boy in the pool. They shared pool toys, talked to one another, and really had a great time. Last night was also a night of splashing, kicking, and Lincoln went under for the very first time. He did wonderful.

We have been extremely busy almost every night for the past month. Two weeks ago, Lincoln stayed with his Grandad overnight, while Brock and I went out for our anniversary. He had a wonderful time. Last weekend we went out to Mike and Page's to stay over night, and Lincoln spent the next day with Grandpa and Grandma.

We have been to the orchard to pick out apples, Emma's birthday party/ swim party, Grandpa's flight lesson in Greenwood, among other things. We have a great time together.

We have quite few pictures to post, so enjoy seeing how our young baby boy is growing.

Our Little Fish

Good evening, morning, afternoon, or whenever you are reading this. We are currently watching the Red Sox play--our friend Justin Masterson is pitching. We put Lincoln to bed about an hour ago. He was ready for bed at 800 but he likes to fight sleep some nights. He had a busy day today.

After spending the day with Miss Joey and going with her on her errands, he got the opportunity to go swimming. He had a blast. We signed him up last week for swim lessons. Brock found them at the exact right time. Lincoln got in the hot tub at Grandpa and Gram's house last weekend, and the pool at Miss Joey's one night after work-- and he loved it. So it just made since to sign him up for these lessons.

We arrived at the pool, changed and we hopped right in. The instructor arrive a little late, but that didn't matter, Lincoln kicked, splashed, shot the basketball, laughed, floated, and all sorts of things. Tonight was a night to get used to to water--well lets just say He Is Used To It!!!! He really enjoyed himself, even after swallowing the water a couple of times, he just kept on swimming. He really surprised himself when he would splash the water up in his face-- it was great-- he even got me a couple of times.

We had pictures taken of Lincoln last week, so be sure to look for those. Family and friends we will get copies to you asap. Talk to you soon!

Fall is Just Around the Corner

I keep thinking that today I am going to blog, and in the next couple days do the same, but it never happens.

We are doing great. Lincoln is doing wonderful. He started going to a new sitter on August 11th. She is wonderful. He really seems to enjoy going to her house every morning of the week. She goes on walks with him, takes him outside to enjoy what God has blessed us with. Her grandaughters come over about every day after school, to visit her and play with Lincoln. We feel blessed to have her watching Lincoln.

The past month has been a month of learning to crawl, starting to pull up, saying ma ma, and da da, among many other wonderful things. He loves to suck in his top lip, which is quite funny. He is also starting to blow raspberries again. He went through time when he did it early on, but hadn't for a while.
When we go to put Lincoln in his car seat he isn't the biggest fan anymore. Once he is in, he is okay, but sometimes getting him in is a treat (he likes to arch his back, which makes putting him in very difficult). He also seems to have found that he likes to shake his head 'no', especially when you go to put him in is seat.

Lincoln is doing extremely well with eating his big boy food. He has been eating mac n cheese, ham and veggies, mixed veggies, apples and chicken, broccoli and chicken, just to name a few. Now of course they are the baby food jar mixes, but he is doing very well with them. We sit together as a family to eat, which I absolutely love. Last evening we finished feeding him and gave him food on his tray, boy did he love that.
WHAT FUN!!!!!

This has been a month of fair going as well. We went to the State Fair with Mike and Page, and Lincoln stayed with his Uncle Brett, Aunt Amy, and the girls. He had a wonderful day with them. We went again the next week, and took Lincoln with us. We spent time in the horse barn, watching horse shows, and going around the fair grounds once. He was very well behaved-- took his nap, played with Grandad, looked at the animals (he doesn't seem as interested in them, unless they are moving).

Last night we gave Lincoln a bath, but it was a little different than normal. I put my suit on, and got in the big tub with him. It was load of fun. He really seemed to enjoy being out of his little tub.

He Loves Rubber Ducky

Well I know there is so many other things to tell you all about our little man, and what we have been up to. I will have to make that a seperate blog. I will do my best to blog a little sooner. Lincoln is constantly moving now, so when we get a free moment we will be sure to blog. Talk to you all later! Here are a few more pictures for you to check out---

Lincoln is Six Months

It has been a month since we last blogged, or close to it. I am sitting right now watching Lincoln rock on his knees and hands, he is so close to that first crawl. He gets around by scooting on his head and rolling--scooting on his head is so fun to watch, I will try to get video of it soon.

We had Lincoln's six month check up this past Thursday. We found out that he weighs 16 pounds 6.5 ounces. He is 26 inches long. He is getting so big so fast. Every day is a new adventure with him. We went today to meet his new sitter, which we are very delighted with. We just pray that she works out great for Lincoln, because that is most important.

This past month we have been busy with doing yard work (it looks so much better, or at least we think so), going to visit with family, going to the county fairs, and just enjoying our play time. Today was the first day for Lincoln to sit in his highchair. We had been feeding him in his bouncer seat, which has worked wonderfully (thanks Steph). Today we decided we would attempt the highchair, and believe it or not he did a wonderful job!!!!

Well I think he is getting pretty sleepy, and should have already been down for a nap, but you all know how that goes. We will talk to you all soon!

Happy Independence Day!!!

We have been very busy these past couple of weekends. I am not sure if Lincoln really knows what to think. He has had the, what I believe, the two busiest weekends of his life (probably not, but it sure seemed like it).

Last weekend we left Columbus on Friday afternoon, and headed up to Monrovia to take Lincoln to my Grandpa and Grams house. They watched him while we went to the big "Hazelwood Fish Fry" which we didn't end up going to, because of the nasty weather (we decided to go to Squealers instead--what a good choice that was).

We stayed the night at Grandpa and Grams house for the first time since having Lincoln. The next day was cousin Lindsey's wedding. What a beautiful backyard wedding. I believe that was the first wedding Lincoln had been to--he behaved extremely well.

We all ended up going to the Fish Fry Sat. evening instead (we just couldn't miss it). So since we go home so late from it, we stayed with Mom and Dad, and got up extremely early to come back to Columbus (Brock had to run sound at church).

Well that was just last weekend-- I am sure you can't imagine what this past weekend was like. Well..... it was a a blast. Fireworks---Horses---Playing the Wi-- and so on and so forth.

You will see pictures of Lincoln spending time with his Grandpa, Grams, Grandad, Uncle Andy, Uncle Brett, Aunt Amy, the girls, and of course the horses that belong to friends in Illinois (they aren't all pictured, but they were there). What a wonderful weekend we had.

We miss so many of you--and hope to see you soon.
