Winter is Here--Or so it feels!

Christmas gift from Uncle Andy & Aunt Shannon

Since Thanksgiving, we have been busy shopping, playing, visiting, decorating, baking, and so much more.

Last weekend we went out for Grandpa's 50th Birthday. We went to the Beef House in Covington. Lincoln sat between Uncle Andy and Aunt Shannon, and I know you won't believe me when I tell you, but Lincoln had a lot to eat. He had vegetables, bread, and I believe 3/4s of Aunt Shannon' broccoli soup. He really enjoyed himself! We then went to stay the night with Uncle Andy's house. They have a brand new house, it is really nice. Uncle Andy wanted to take a bath with Lincoln, but Lincoln wasn't so sure--Uncle Andy got the water ready, got his swim trunks on and was super excited--but Lincoln just didn't know what to think. He ended up taking a bath by himself in the really big bath tub. It was just the week before tht Lincoln started taking a bath in the big tub, he does really well--and has so much more room to move (we used to give hime a bath in is baby tub, inside the big tub--lets just say it was getting tight, not enough room to play).

This past week we did some more shopping, spent some time at home playing, and baking. Yesterday (Sat. Dec. 12th) we went to lunch with Clay, went to the tree farm (that is close to our house, just to see what they had--maybe next year we will actually get a real tree--we decorated ours the Sunday after Thanksgiving). Later in the evening we went to the mall to see------ SANTA!

Lincoln just stared at him, he studies everything now-- it is great to see him learning. And tonight we went to Daddy's staff Christmas party-- we had a great time.

1st Thanksgiving

Yay, it is time to eat!

Lincoln With Uncle Andy

Wow, this is crazy. It has been almost a month since we last blogged. It is very busy at the Pickett household this time of year, as I am sure it is for everyone.

Lincoln is going to be celebrating his first Christmas very soon, as he just celebrated his first Thanksgiving a few weeks ago-- what a busy time that was. He was able to play with all of his second cousins (or third) which ever way you look at it. He got to eat a couple of new foods, get up at 4 the next morning and hang out with Grandad, while his nutty parents went shopping. And to top that off he went shopping with us later that afternoon (instead of going to a movie as we usually do, we changed it up a little this year, as Lincoln gets older we will start going to see something that he likes).

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving Lincoln and Daddy went to Grandad's house to help decorate for Christmas--I am sure he had a wonderful time. I wish I could have been there--but I was sick.
