Lincoln is Six Months

It has been a month since we last blogged, or close to it. I am sitting right now watching Lincoln rock on his knees and hands, he is so close to that first crawl. He gets around by scooting on his head and rolling--scooting on his head is so fun to watch, I will try to get video of it soon.

We had Lincoln's six month check up this past Thursday. We found out that he weighs 16 pounds 6.5 ounces. He is 26 inches long. He is getting so big so fast. Every day is a new adventure with him. We went today to meet his new sitter, which we are very delighted with. We just pray that she works out great for Lincoln, because that is most important.

This past month we have been busy with doing yard work (it looks so much better, or at least we think so), going to visit with family, going to the county fairs, and just enjoying our play time. Today was the first day for Lincoln to sit in his highchair. We had been feeding him in his bouncer seat, which has worked wonderfully (thanks Steph). Today we decided we would attempt the highchair, and believe it or not he did a wonderful job!!!!

Well I think he is getting pretty sleepy, and should have already been down for a nap, but you all know how that goes. We will talk to you all soon!

Happy Independence Day!!!

We have been very busy these past couple of weekends. I am not sure if Lincoln really knows what to think. He has had the, what I believe, the two busiest weekends of his life (probably not, but it sure seemed like it).

Last weekend we left Columbus on Friday afternoon, and headed up to Monrovia to take Lincoln to my Grandpa and Grams house. They watched him while we went to the big "Hazelwood Fish Fry" which we didn't end up going to, because of the nasty weather (we decided to go to Squealers instead--what a good choice that was).

We stayed the night at Grandpa and Grams house for the first time since having Lincoln. The next day was cousin Lindsey's wedding. What a beautiful backyard wedding. I believe that was the first wedding Lincoln had been to--he behaved extremely well.

We all ended up going to the Fish Fry Sat. evening instead (we just couldn't miss it). So since we go home so late from it, we stayed with Mom and Dad, and got up extremely early to come back to Columbus (Brock had to run sound at church).

Well that was just last weekend-- I am sure you can't imagine what this past weekend was like. Well..... it was a a blast. Fireworks---Horses---Playing the Wi-- and so on and so forth.

You will see pictures of Lincoln spending time with his Grandpa, Grams, Grandad, Uncle Andy, Uncle Brett, Aunt Amy, the girls, and of course the horses that belong to friends in Illinois (they aren't all pictured, but they were there). What a wonderful weekend we had.

We miss so many of you--and hope to see you soon.
