Hello family and friends. It has been entirely tooooo long since we last blogged. I told myself that we would do it every week (at least), well as you can tell that didn't happen. We are very busy it seems. We along with the rest of the world, right.
Well these past few weeks have been a lot of fun. Life at the Pickett household changes every day. We are busy raising such a wonderful little boy. Lincoln will be 5 months old tomorrow--wow. You always hear about babies being babies for a short period of time-- well in our case they are correct. Lincoln continues to roll over-- he enjoys playing on his stomach these days, and chewing on his toes (or anything he gets a hold of). He is also starting to pull his legs up to a crawling position (so he is working on that, and I know it won't be long).
A few weeks ago Lincoln started eating cereal, as well as baby food (fruits and veggies). A few people would question us about it (is it too early for that?). Well the doctor told us it was okay, so we tried it. And Lincoln is doing well with it. He really enjoys most of the fruits and veggies. I think his favorite fruit is the pears, and his favorite vegetable is the carrots. He ate a full jar of both of those the first time he tried them. I never will forget when he tried peas for the first time. Lets just say he isn't a big fan.
Well, other big news since we last wrote. We survived the flood. I am sure most of you heard about it. We were blessed with no damage or any water in our neighborhood (it was all so strange how it happened and such). It was new for all three of us, being that Brock and I never lived near a big river or body of water that had capability of flooding. We do pray for those that lost their belongings or loved ones in the flood and ask that you do the same.
