Rolling Over

Those of you that read this won't believe me. But I received a phone call yesterday afternoon, while I was at work. The call came from Val, Lincoln's babysitter. She informed me that he had been laying on his belly and had rolled over to his back. I was in shock! He has been going from his back to his side here at home, but we thought it was just because of the angle on the couch. Well, when he rolled at Val's he was on a flat surface. We have to be extremely careful now of where we lay him, and we can't walk away from him when he is on a higher surface anymore--which is crazy.

Today was another day that I enjoyed spending at home with Lincoln. We lounged in bed for most of the morning (because Daddy told us to; direct orders). And I gave Lincoln a bath without Brock's help for the first time. It went extremely well, and now we have a clean, good smelling little boy. We left at about 12:30 to meet Brock, Chad, Abbi, Bella, and Autumn for lunch at Sams--we haven't missed a Thurs. lunch at Sams since Lincoln was born. It has become a weekly thing.

The rest of the day included reading, tummy time, a hair cut for Mommy, and that about does it. We hope you had a great day and are having a great day when you read this.

Back to Work

Well, yesterday was my first day back to work. It went as I expected. I really didn't want to leave Lincoln, so it was difficult. I know it is for every Mom going back to work after the birth of a baby--or so everyone told me.

I had a doctors appointment at 9:00 am, so it wasn't a full day away from him-- so that helped. Everything checked out at the doctor, and Lincoln and I got our picture taken with Dr. Albers. Then it was off to the sitters (Val). Lincoln had a great day, and I had a good one. The ladies I work with were very supportive, which made my day so much better.

Once 4:30 hit, I was out of there. We had a great evening with him, and I was able to stay home with him today.

Grandma and Grandpa Ward came to visit with us this afternoon. We had a great visit. Grams and Grandpa are coming this evening, so it is a day of visits. It is also a day of laughter, Lincoln is smiling more everyday, and I got a little giggle out of him today. It was the coolest.

Snow Day

Today was our last weekday before I have to return to work. So I spoiled Lincoln all day, which most would say is just like every other day. It has been snowing here all day, so I only thought it appropriate to dress Lincoln in his snow day outfit. He wore it until about 4:30, and then decided it was time for a blow out.

We had a great day together! Lots of fun!

Change of Clothes

Mommy had a good time today!!!

Yesterday I put the newborn sleeper on Lincoln, that he wore home. He has been able to wear it a few times, but we think yesterday may have been the last time (so sad). So I had to take a picture of him in it!

We are going to go out to eat this evening with some friends and I decided it was time to try on an outfit, other than a sleeper. The sleepers are all that have fit him so far, which is excellent-they are so easy and Cute! So I took pictures of him in his going out to eat outfit.

I hope you all enjoy as much as I do. You will notice the orange sweater is the same on from his two week picture. Notice how much he has grown. Wow!

1 Month +

Hey everybody! We are staying so busy with Lincoln, that it is hard to find time to post a blog.

Lincoln is growing like crazy. We had his one month check up last Wednesday. He weighed 9lbs. 14 ozs. He was 23 and 3/4 inches long. Which for those of you who don't feel like doing the math, that means he has gained 2 pounds 10 ounces, and has grown over 5 inches.

I (Stella) keep telling him that he is going to be taller than me by time he is 1, if he continues growing at this rate. We are so excited that he is growing so much and is healthy. The healthy part is most important anyway.

We still spend our days doing things like eating, sleeping, pooping, reading, singing, swinging, but we have added outings. We go to see Daddy at work, go out for lunch, do a little shopping, and so on and so forth. Lincoln does really well in his car seat, hates getting in it, but loves the ride. Life is so much fun with him.

We took a road trip up to see Lincoln's Grandparents, Aunt Shannon, and Great Grandparents yesterday. It was his first visit at both houses. It was great fun. He loved it, or seemed to anyway. He slept on the way there and on the way home, and a little while we were there. But most of the time he was awake for them to enjoy.

Well, we could write so much more if time would allow, but it is time to get back to playing.
Talk to you all later.
